Full Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Facilities Manager is a member of the Operations Team, which is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all CVC properties. They are integral in their responsibility for providing a safe and functional environment that directly supports uninterrupted resident care and the clinical workflow of our providers and support staff. Primary daily tasks require maintaining the maintenance, safety, and comfort of all CVC properties. This position is hands-on, requiring organizational skill, technical expertise, problem-solving, and the simultaneous task management. This position works in collaboration with the Facilities Associate as needed and is supervised by the Operations Director, though they will interact with CVC staff and residents daily as well.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of a high school diploma, equivalent GED, or completion of trade school required. Experience working hands-on in facilities management, building maintenance, groundskeeping, or skilled trades required. Experience using hand and power tools, basic home repair including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general upkeep required. Experience with mechanical systems preferred. This position requires someone that is a “self-starter”; someone that will take pride in keeping ClearView Communities’ (CVC’s) properties clean, tidy, comfortable, and in working order. An “outside-of-the-box”-minded individual and motivated, practical problem-solver will excel in this position. Building engineer experience preferred. Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy objects or working at heights when necessary is required.

Excellent, clear communication skills, and attention to detail in speaking and writing English are required. Required daily computer use; must be proficient with writing and responding to e-mails throughout the day. Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred. Experience working within a healthcare setting preferred. Building engineer experience preferred.

Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license (CDL not required) and own transportation. Positively referenced relevant work experience and compassion for adults with chronic and persistent mental illness required. Favorable criminal background check and driving history required. Skilled trade license not required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the following related to facilities and maintenance:

FACILITIES MANAGEMENT

1. Develop, maintain, and manage all daily commercial and residential operations at CVC properties.

2. Assess commercial and residential properties for health, safety, security, and comfort.

3. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to health and safety.

4. Conduct, participate in, and document routine inspections.

5. Manage and coordinate contractors, vendors, their work, invoicing, and service contracts.

6. Monitor supply inventory and coordinate purchasing, including re-stock, as needed.

MAINTENANCE

1. Schedule, conduct, and document preventative maintenance, repairs, installs, and replacements.

2. Respond to maintenance requests and questions from residents and staff same day.

3. Prioritize and respond to urgent maintenance issues.

4. Diagnose and resolve maintenance issues, either personally or via an outside contractor.

5. Assist with basic maintenance of CVC vehicles (wiper blade replacement, registration, etc).

6. Assist with organizing offices, homes, and other CVC spaces for staff and residents.

GENERAL

1. Interact with CVC residents, staff, and visitors with a manner of respect and professionalism consistent with CVC’s Employee Handbook, core values, and mission.

2. Communicate clearly via computer, phone, and text messaging during work hours.

3. Respond to e-mails promptly, confirming the acknowledgement and completion of tasks.

4. Utilize safe maintenance practices to ensure one’s own safety, as well as the safety of others.

5. Perform other duties as assigned as consistent with facilities and maintenance.

6. Attend staff meetings and maintain compliance with required CVC employee trainings.

4. Medium to heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required.

5. Ability to manage the potential stress of working within the field of residential mental health.

6. In-person, regular, reliable, and punctual attendance is required.

WORKING AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Work is primarily performed indoors, in a climate-controlled environment. Work outdoors is completed as needed, relative to weather and immediate necessity.

Pay: $62,400.00 - $72,800.00 per year
