Medical Front Desk ReceptionistIM&P WELLNESS CENTER – Crystal River, FL

Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week | Four 10-Hour Shifts | $15–$17 per hour

IM&P WELLNESS CENTER is looking for a friendly, dependable, and professional Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our growing practice in Crystal River, Florida.

If you enjoy working with people, staying organized, and helping patients feel welcome and cared for, we want to hear from you!

Our front desk team is an essential part of our practice. You will be the first point of contact for our patients and will work closely with our providers and clinical staff to keep the office running efficiently.

Your Responsibilities

As our Medical Front Desk Receptionist, you will:

Warmly greet patients and visitors and provide excellent customer service.
Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions.
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments.
Check patients in and out accurately and efficiently.
Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, and identification.
Collect copays, deductibles, balances, and other patient payments.
Update patient demographic and insurance information in the EHR/EMR.
Assist patients with registration forms and required paperwork.
Verify insurance eligibility and assist with insurance-related questions.
Obtain referrals, authorizations, and other required documentation.
Communicate with patients regarding appointments and office procedures.
Receive and route patient phone messages to the appropriate staff.
Work closely with providers and clinical staff to maintain efficient patient flow.
Assist with scanning, faxing, filing, medical records, and general office duties.
Maintain an organized, professional, and welcoming reception area.
Follow HIPAA regulations and protect patient confidentiality.
Assist with other administrative duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous medical receptionist or medical front desk experience preferred.
Experience in a primary care, internal medicine, wellness, urgent care, or physician-office setting is a plus.
Experience with an EHR/EMR system preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Experience with insurance verification and patient payments is a plus.

Medical office experience is preferred, but we will consider candidates with strong front-desk/customer-service experience who are dependable, professional, and eager to learn.
