EMPLOYMENT NOTE

- Period of Performance: 30 September 2026 – 29 September 2031, inclusive of option years, with a potential six-month extension.
POSITION OVERVIEW
STi is seeking an experienced Lead Parachute Rigger / Alternate Program Manager to support the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division Air Item Maintenance mission at Fort Bragg, NC.
This is primarily a hands-on parachute-rigger and fabric-repair position with additional responsibility for guiding shop personnel and supporting daily workflow and quality. When the Program Manager is absent, the selected candidate will assume full authority for daily contract operations and serve as STi’s primary representative to Government and unit leadership.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Army MOS 92R Parachute Rigger, Master Rigger, shop foreman, NCOIC, aerial-delivery supervisor, or civilian equivalent.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the senior technical rigger and provide day-to-day guidance to parachute-rigger and fabric-worker personnel.
- Perform and oversee Technical Rigger Inspections, parachute maintenance and repair, industrial sewing, and associated aerial-delivery support.
- Help coordinate shop workload, personnel coverage, training, quality, safety, and timely completion of assigned work.
- Inspect and repair Army personnel and cargo parachute systems in accordance with applicable technical manuals and shop procedures.
- Support quality-control activities, technical compliance, corrective actions, and required performance reporting.
- Assume full Alternate Program Manager authority during the Program Manager’s absence, including coordination with Government representatives and unit leadership.
- Ensure work complies with TM 10-1670-series publications, AR 750-32, Echo Company procedures, and applicable safety requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
U.S. Citizenship required.
- Graduate of a DoD-approved Parachute Rigger Course for Army type-classified personnel parachute systems
- Previous service in a supervisory role within a military or DoD aerial delivery facility, as either military or civilian personnel
- Hands-on experience inspecting, maintaining, and repairing Army personnel and cargo parachutes
- Experience leading parachute riggers, fabric workers, or comparable aerial-delivery maintenance personnel
- Knowledge of systems such as the T-11/T-11M, T-11R, MC-6, G-11, G-12, T-10/T-10C, and cargo extraction parachutes
- Ability to serve as the acting Program Manager and communicate effectively with Government and contractor leadership
- Ability to carry at least 50 pounds for 50 yards and perform the position’s essential physical functions, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to obtain a Common Access Card and pass required background and drug-testing requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Army MOS 92R or equivalent military parachute-rigger background
- Master Rigger qualification
- Experience as an aerial-delivery shop supervisor, foreman, NCOIC, OIC, or team lead
- Previous support to Fort Bragg, the 82nd Airborne Division, or a comparable DoD aerial delivery facility
- Experience with quality control, workforce scheduling, technical reporting, and Government customer coordination

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work will be performed at an active parachute-maintenance facility on Fort Bragg.
- Regular shop hours are anticipated between 9:30 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
