Tapper’s Diamonds & Fine Jewelry is actively seeking a Full-Time Sales Support & Repair Specialist to support our showroom operations, repair process, and overall guest experience.

The Sales Support & Repair Specialist plays a critical role in supporting sales associates, facilitating repair consultations and deliveries, and ensuring showroom operations run efficiently. This position serves as an extension of the sales team by assisting with guest hospitality, transaction processing, merchandise preparation, and operational responsibilities that allow our sales professionals to focus on building relationships and creating memorable experiences.

The ideal candidate is service-oriented, detail-focused, organized, and energized by supporting both guests and teammates in a fast-paced luxury retail environment.

Position Summary

The Sales Support & Repair Specialist is responsible for providing operational and guest-facing support that enhances the effectiveness of the sales team and contributes to an exceptional luxury experience.

This role serves as a key resource on the showroom floor by assisting with repair intake and delivery, processing transactions, supporting guest hospitality, managing merchandise preparation, and performing daily operational tasks that keep the store organized, accurate, and ready for business.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Team Support

Assist sales professionals with guest hospitality by offering beverages, refreshments, and other concierge-level services.
Support the gift-wrapping process to ensure purchases are presented beautifully and in accordance with Tapper’s standards.
Retrieve merchandise and assist with product presentation during guest interactions.
Operate as an additional point of support during high-volume periods to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Provide general assistance that enables sales associates to maximize their time building guest relationships and closing sales.

Guest Service & Sales Counter Support

Process transactions on behalf of sales team members while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
Assist with guest pickups, deliveries, and merchandise presentations.
Deliver a warm, welcoming experience for every guest entering the showroom.
Answer guest questions and direct inquiries to the appropriate team member.
Support service recovery efforts by ensuring guest concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.

Repair Consultation & Service Support

Conduct repair intake consultations with guests.
Accurately document repair needs and expectations.
Explain repair processes, timelines, and service options.
Coordinate repair deliveries and guest communication regarding completed repairs.
Partner with the Repair Department to ensure repairs move efficiently through the process.
Verify accuracy of repair documentation, pricing, and guest information.

Merchandise & Store Operations

Pull merchandise for sales presentations and guest appointments.
Assist with nightly merchandise collection and return procedures.
Retag merchandise as needed to maintain accurate inventory information.
Support product organization and presentation throughout the showroom.
Assist with case counts, inventory verification, and merchandise audits.
Ensure showcases remain neat, organized, and presentation-ready.
Maintain stock levels of packaging supplies, gift wrap materials, and guest hospitality items.

Operational Excellence

Assist with opening and closing procedures.
Support inventory control and merchandise accountability processes.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for repairs and transactions.
Follow all company security, inventory, and operational procedures.
Partner with leadership on projects and initiatives that improve operational efficiency and guest experience.
Perform additional showroom and operational support tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous luxury retail, hospitality, customer service, jewelry, or repair operations experience.
Experience processing sales transactions and handling guest service situations.
Familiarity with jewelry repair processes is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds periodically.
Ability to handle jewelry and luxury merchandise with care and precision.
Ability to perform detailed visual inspection of merchandise and repair items.
