Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Community Connections Representative to serve the Southern Tier region. This paid role offers an exciting opportunity to build meaningful relationships within the community, promote engagement initiatives, and enhance outreach efforts. As a vital link between the organization and local residents, you will leverage your communication skills and community management expertise to foster positive connections, support community programs, and drive strategic outreach campaigns. Community Connections Representative I/II (Broome County Area) | Healthcare & Provider Network Administration at Excellus BCBS

Duties

Develop and implement community outreach strategies to engage diverse populations effectively.
Serve as a primary point of contact for community organizations, local leaders, and stakeholders to foster collaborative relationships.
Plan and deliver public presentations and community events to promote organizational initiatives and services.
Manage social media platforms and marketing efforts to increase visibility and engagement within the community.
Coordinate volunteer programs, manage client communication, and oversee community engagement activities.
Utilize media relations skills to secure coverage in local outlets, enhance public relations efforts, and promote community stories.
Track project progress through strategic planning and budgeting, ensuring outreach goals are met efficiently.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years proven experience in social services, community outreach, education, or related fields with strong community engagement background.
Excellent public speaking, written communication, and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
Marketplace Facilited Enroller certification preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and planning purposes.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience in media relations, public relations, or marketing to enhance organizational visibility.
Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse populations effectively.
Demonstrated ability in relationship management, client communication, and volunteer coordination.
Knowledge of social media marketing strategies and project management tools is preferred.
