Blue Elephant in Wayne is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant General Manager to oversee daily operations in our establishment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of service, managing staff, and maintaining a positive dining experience for our guests. This role requires strong leadership skills and a passion for the food service industry.
Duties
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
- Lead and train staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Handle cash management, including processing transactions and reconciling cash drawers.
- Utilize POS systems effectively to manage orders and track sales performance.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain a positive dining experience.
- Monitor restaurant performance metrics and develop strategies for improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate staff effectively.
- Knowledge of inventory control processes and catering operations is preferred.
- Proficiency in cash handling procedures and experience with POS systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of restaurant management experience in a restaurant with comparable steps of service and volume
- Toast POS or similar POS experience
- Previous experience with P&L, inventory, and COGs strongly preferred
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving abilities required
