Job Summary
South Pointe Tavern is seeking an enthusiastic, reliable, and customer-focused Pub Team Member to join our hospitality team. In this role, you will assist with food and beverage service, support bar and dining room operations, and help create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for every guest. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced pub environment, values teamwork, and is committed to providing outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Serve food, beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages in a timely manner.
- Assist bartenders with stocking beer, wine, spirits, mixers, glassware, ice, and bar supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pub, bar, dining area, and service stations.
- Process cash, credit card, gift card, and mobile payment transactions accurately.
- Verify guest identification and follow responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Restock condiments, napkins, utensils, beverages, and other front-of-house supplies.
- Assist with opening, closing, inventory counts, and daily cleaning duties.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve concerns professionally.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, responsible alcohol service, and workplace health and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with bartenders, servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth daily operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a pub, bar, restaurant, hospitality, or customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems are an asset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and late-night shifts.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Skills
- Experience as a Pub Team Member, Server, Bartender, Barback, Food Runner, or Restaurant Team Member.
- Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and responsible alcohol service.
- TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol, or equivalent responsible alcohol service certification is an asset.
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
