Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and versatile Handyman/Painter to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the appearance, safety, and functionality of residential and commercial properties. Your expertise in painting, carpentry, and general repairs will help ensure our spaces are well-maintained, visually appealing, and safe for all occupants. Responsibilities
- Perform residential and commercial painting using various techniques such as airless paint spraying, brush, and roller application, ensuring smooth finishes and proper surface preparation
- Execute carpentry tasks including trim carpentry, framing, drywall installation, plastering, stucco application, and fixture installation
- Conduct renovation projects by remodeling spaces, restoring surfaces, and updating fixtures to meet client specifications
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for tasks like caulking, masonry work, concrete finishing, welding, and masonry repairs
- Read blueprints and schematics to accurately interpret project requirements and execute construction or renovation plans accordingly
- Apply construction estimating skills to assess project scope, materials needed, and timeframes for job completion
- Maintain a clean work environment while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites or during maintenance tasks
Requirements
- Proven handyman experience with a strong background in construction painting, restoration, and general maintenance tasks
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and airless paint spraying equipment
- Knowledge of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects in residential or commercial painting projects
- Ability to read blueprints or schematics for accurate project execution
- Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety standards and protocols
- Basic math skills for measurements, estimations, and material calculations
- Familiarity with schematics related to fixture installation or industrial painting processes
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members or clients during renovation or repair projects
