What You'll Do
Follow established SOP’s in performing various tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager
Read work tickets and prescriptions to determine the design of dental prosthetic devices to be fabricated
Fabrication of dental prosthetic devices by performing various tasks such as: fitting, adjusting, contouring, characterizing and polishing of restorations.
Removal of excess ceramic materials using rotary instruments, lathes and hand piece devices.
Use hand and rotary instruments, instruments to form, build and shape wax teeth, prepare metal and ceramic surfaces for bonding with ceramic or comp resin to create dental prosthetic devices.
Use instruments and brushes to apply ceramic, composite resign or wax to form dental restorations. Use rotary instruments to shape, contour and finish dental restorations.
Use specialized furnaces to solidify applied materials to form dental devices.
What We're Looking For
Experience
- 2+ years fixed dental laboratory experience preferred
- Fabrication of dental prosthetic devices by performing various tasks such as: fitting, adjusting, contouring, characterizing and polishing of restorations
Skills
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Solid understanding of dental anatomy and occlusion
- Ability to interpret dental prescriptions
- Attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and organized with strong time management
Bonus Experience
- CDT certification in removable prosthetics
