Dan’s Tailoring & Clothier is looking to add an experienced Tailor / Seamstress to our growing team.
We are one of Kansas City’s busiest tailoring and wedding suit stores, handling hundreds of weddings each year along with daily alterations for suits, tuxedos, uniforms, and formalwear. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works efficiently, and enjoys helping customers look their best.
Responsibilities
- Perform alterations on suits, tuxedos, dress pants, jackets, and formalwear
- Hem pants
- Adjust sleeves, waists, jacket tapering, and garment fit
- Repair garments including buttons, seams, and linings
- Assist with fittings and customer measurements when needed
- Maintain high-quality workmanship and attention to detail
- Help manage alteration workflow in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Previous tailoring or seamstress experience required
- Experience with formalwear and suit alterations preferred
- Strong sewing and garment construction knowledge
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining precision
- Professional attitude and strong customer service skills
- Dependable, organized, and team-oriented
