The Unit Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an assigned nursing unit while ensuring compliance with current federal, state, and local regulations governing long-term care. This position works closely with the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing to promote quality resident care, clinical excellence, and a positive team environment.
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the assigned nursing unit.
- Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure quality resident care.
- Monitor resident care plans, clinical documentation, and nursing practices.
- Assist with staff development, education, and performance coaching.
- Promote compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary team to address resident needs.
- Monitor changes in resident condition and ensure appropriate follow-up.
- Support infection prevention, quality assurance, and resident safety initiatives.
- Help create a positive, accountable, and team-focused work environment.
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Knowledge of general, rehabilitative, and restorative nursing practices.
- Understanding of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care.
- Previous experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or other healthcare setting required.
