Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Concrete Foreman to lead our field crews on commercial and residential concrete construction projects. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with extensive experience in concrete foundations, formwork, rebar installation, flatwork, and power trowel finishing. This individual will be responsible for supervising crews, coordinating daily operations, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead concrete crews on commercial and residential construction projects.
- Plan, organize, and assign daily work to maximize crew productivity.
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications.
- Coordinate and oversee concrete foundation work, footing installation, wall forms, slabs, and flatwork.
- Supervise form setting, rebar placement, concrete pours, finishing, and curing operations.
- Operate and oversee the safe use of power trowels and other concrete finishing equipment.
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards and project specifications.
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, subcontractors, and inspections.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company safety policies.
- Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and compliance.
- Identify and resolve field issues to keep projects on schedule.
- Train, mentor, and develop crew members while promoting a positive team environment.
- Complete daily reports, timecards, and production documentation.
- Communicate effectively with project managers regarding manpower, scheduling, equipment, and project progress.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
Required Qualifications
- Previous Concrete Foreman experience is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on concrete construction experience.
- Proven experience with:
- Concrete foundations and footing construction
- Form setting and formwork systems
- Rebar placement and reinforcement
- Concrete flatwork
- Power trowel operation and concrete finishing
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and construction best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple crews and prioritize work effectively.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Preferred Certifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Equipment operation experience is a plus
