Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting patient care in an outpatient setting, assisting with various clinical and administrative tasks. Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic life support measures as necessary.
- Administer medications as directed by physicians or nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including coding for billing purposes.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, especially in emergency medicine scenarios.
- Support the clinic by coordinating patient flow and managing appointments.
- Collaborate effectively with staff in a clinical environment to ensure optimal patient care.
- Educate patients on treatment plans and medication administration as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, and outpatient care systems is essential.
- Familiarity with coding practices for insurance purposes is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to provide excellent patient service and support team collaboration.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, particularly in emergency situations.
