Mr. Lincoln is a luxury craft cocktail bar in downtown Durham opening in summer 2026. Our cocktails are crafted with fresh ingredients and served with welcoming hospitality. We will have a small menu of shareables and light bites available all night long.

Job Description:
● Lead hiring, onboarding, training of FOH & BOH staff
● Monitor compliance with health and regulations regarding food preparation and serving, and building maintenance
● Liaises with Bar Manager to coordinate, execute, and optimize beverage program and staff education
● Oversee daily operations, including staff scheduling, managing P&L, handling administrative tasks, opening & closing duties, and ensuring everything runs smoothly
● Oversee both FOH and BOH staff to ensure productivity and operational efficiency, including payroll and tip distribution.
● Handle staff personnel issues, discipline, HR tasks
● Provide monthly cost reports to the owner with suggestions to improve efficiency, cut costs, and increase profitability
● Work with bookkeeping to track inventory, ensure record-keeping accuracy, and manage large sums of money
● Set the tone for a warm and authentic guest experience, leading by example in service standards
● Address, mitigate, and resolve customer conflicts and handle service issues with a solution-focused approach
● Order supplies, track inventory, and ensure readiness for high-volume periods
● Maintain food, labor, and controllable costs within the company’s guidelines.
● Collaborate with the owner to ensure smooth onboarding, policy enforcement, and employee record management
● Be proficient with the Toast/POS system, ensuring smooth transactions and troubleshooting as needed.
● Build team culture through training sessions, service education, and performance reviews
Minimum Requirements:
● Minimum of 2 years Restaurant General Manager experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment required.
● Prior P&L experience required
● Experience with private events and offsite catering
● Servsafe Certified
● Experience leading teams in customer service or production environments
● Procient in POS systems, with Toast experience a plus
● Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
● Outstanding management, mentorship, and training abilities
● Able to project manage and problem solve with attention to timeliness and meeting deadlines
● Ability to work well under pressure and be a calm problem-solver in a fast-paced environment
Compensation:
● Starting at $50,000
