Our client, an automotive parts manufacturing company, is looking for an Assembly Operator to join their team in Fremont, CA. In this role, you will perform a variety of assembly tasks to support production operations, operating manual and power tools in accordance with established work instructions while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble plastic automotive parts according to work instructions and company standards
- Work across various stations using hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks
- Periodically inspect products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolve identified issues and alert supervisor as needed
- Maintain logs, records, and reports concerning production output and product inconsistencies
- Inventory tools, parts, and supplies and contact the materials handler when supplies are needed
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and repairs as needed
- Cross-train between departments as business needs require
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
- 1+ year of experience in the automotive industry or strong transferable skills from prior roles
- Detail-oriented, consistent, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Manual dexterity and excellent hand-eye coordination required
- Ability to differentiate between colors, colored wires, tabs, and electronic components
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs as needed
- Must wear safety gloves and steel toe shoes/boots at all times
- Must be flexible with schedule including weekends and overtime as required
Pay & Schedule:
- Pay Rate: $19.00 – $20.00 per hour (based on experience)
- Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, rotating schedule
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
