Assistant/Apprentice Guide (Elementary, Ages 7-11)
Wonders Academy in Warsaw, IN is seeking an assistant/apprentice guide to work in the afternoons (1:00-5:00 p.m.).

About Wonders Academy
Wonders Academy is a Montessori-based elementary, an innovative school that guides each child on a journey to discover a calling and change the world.
Wonders Academy is a new school that will open this September, so this is an opportunity to be an integral part of the building of an innovative, game-changing school.
This is an all-day program (8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.).
Wonders Academy is an independent affiliate of Acton Academy, founded in 2009 in Austin, Texas. The Acton network includes dozens of "learner-driven" schools across the United States and around the world.
Position Description
The assistant/apprentice guide will join a new, all-day classroom. She/he will help guide the Herons, while adhering to the Socratic method. The position offers opportunities for growth into a full-time position, professional development, and advancement.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a deep curiosity about life, a lifelong love of learning, and an entrepreneurial spirit (must thrive in a startup environment). She/he will be responsible for facilitating a nurturing and joyful studio culture. We seek someone who has:
- Montessori training (ideal but not required).
- Experience working with students ages 7-11.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and desire to experiment, evaluate, and improve on everything she/he does.
- A willingness to be coached and mentored.
- An understanding of the Montessori philosophy.
- A deep respect for all children.
- A strong teamwork ethic, a genuine desire to collaborate with colleagues, and a steadfast sense of professionalism.
