Position Details
- Location: Elk River, MN
- Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
- Start Date: July 27, 2026
- Schedule: 80 hours per two-week pay period
- Shift: Monday–Friday, varying between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM
- Weekend Requirement: None
Responsibilities
- Room and prepare patients for provider visits.
- Obtain vital signs, medical histories, and assist with patient assessments.
- Administer immunizations, injections, and medications as directed.
- Collect laboratory specimens and perform basic clinic laboratory testing.
- Assist with phlebotomy and specimen processing.
- Support prescription refill requests and patient communications.
- Provide telephone support and coordinate care between patients and providers.
- Assist with front desk duties, appointment scheduling, and patient check-in as needed.
- Order and stock medical supplies and assist with prior authorizations.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation while supporting efficient clinic workflow.
Qualifications
For Certified Medical Assistants (CMA):
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (ABHES or CAAHEP) or accredited RMA program.
- Previous clinical experience required.
- Current BLS certification required.
For Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN):
- Active Minnesota LPN license required.
- Previous clinical experience required.
- Current BLS certification required.
