Duties
- Operate the cash register using POS (Point of Sale) systems to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide product information or demos when needed
- Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising products, and maintaining clean, organized store areas
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Manage cash handling duties responsibly, including balancing registers at shift end
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining phone etiquette
- Support grocery store operations by helping with product demos, inventory checks, and basic retail math tasks
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Prior supervising experience or leadership skills in retail or service environments
- Bilingual abilities to communicate effectively with diverse customers
- Strong communication skills coupled with friendly phone etiquette
- Ability to perform retail math for sales transactions and inventory management
- Experience in merchandising, stocking, and grocery store operations
- Demonstrated customer service excellence with a positive attitude and problem-solving mindset
