We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medications.
- Provide immunizations and manage IV infusion therapies as needed.
- Conduct acute care assessments and collaborate with healthcare providers on patient medication plans.
- Manage inventory effectively, ensuring that medications are stocked and stored according to regulations.
- Utilize pharmacy software for prescription processing, record keeping, and inventory management.
- Educate patients on medication administration, potential side effects, and proper usage.
- Compounding medications as required, adhering to safety standards and protocols.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology and physiology to support patient care.
Experience
- A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy school is required.
- Active pharmacist license in the state of practice.
- Experience in acute care settings is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems is essential.
- Knowledge of compounding medications and inventory management practices is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and physiology is beneficial for effective patient communication.
