Overview
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Garage Door Installers and Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of various types of garage doors, ensuring they operate smoothly and safely. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction and a strong understanding of hand and power tools, as well as the ability to read schematics. This position requires physical stamina for heavy lifting and the ability to work effectively on construction sites.
Responsibilities
- Install garage doors according to manufacturer specifications and customer requirements.
- Perform door hanging, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for installation tasks.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand installation procedures.
- Conduct frame carpentry work as needed to ensure proper fit of the garage door.
- Assist in the movement of heavy materials and equipment during installations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on construction sites.
- Communicate with customers regarding installation processes and any necessary adjustments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in garage door installation.
- Ability to read schematics and follow technical instructions accurately.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working on your feet for extended periods.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A valid driver’s license is required for travel to job sites.
