We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cleaner Janitorial Worker to join our dynamic facilities maintenance team.
My goal is to personal provide a positive and happy working environment.
We are cleaning a church so the job will be pretty easy and laid back.
All I ask is that you show up on time and work hard.
I have been a janitor for a long time so I understand what its like to work for a bad company and will make sure you are treated with respect and fairly.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, common areas, and other designated spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle various chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without risking health or safety.
- Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of supplies, furniture, and cleaning equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Maintain cleanliness by dusting, vacuuming, mopping, window washing, and waste disposal to uphold high sanitation standards.
- Operate custodial equipment efficiently, including floor buffers and industrial cleaning tools, ensuring proper maintenance and safety compliance.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues requiring professional attention.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing cleaning requests promptly and courteously for staff and visitors.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial work with a strong understanding of commercial or residential cleaning protocols.
- Skilled in handling chemical agents safely with knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures.
- Familiarity with custodial equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, mops, and other cleaning tools.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safe lifting practices.
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and best practices for maintaining a hygienic environment.
- Experience in industrial or facility cleaning environments with an emphasis on safety protocol adherence.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and visitors.
- Basic maintenance skills including minor repairs or troubleshooting facilities issues is a plus.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
