Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders, to implement evidence-based behavioral interventions. Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans and ABA therapy protocols under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), promoting independence and skill development.
- Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Support clients in managing behaviors through positive reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, client records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and professional standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure consistency and clarity in care plans.
- Participate in ongoing training on special education, medical terminology, ethical guidelines, and the latest ABA practices to enhance service quality.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder, is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavior management, and behavior data collection methods.
- Experience assisting with ADLs and implementing behavior intervention strategies in home-based or school settings.
- Strong understanding of medical records, medical terminology, and confidentiality standards such as HIPAA.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and adhere to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts.
- Passion for supporting individuals with disabilities through direct behavioral therapy and educational support.
