Position Summary
The Recreational Gymnastics Coach creates a fun, safe, and engaging learning environment for children of all ages and abilities. Coaches teach gymnastics fundamentals while helping every athlete develop confidence, physical literacy, and a lifelong love of movement.

ResponsibilitiesCoaching Excellence
- Lead preschool and recreational gymnastics classes
- Deliver age-appropriate instruction using FGA curriculum
- Create a positive, energetic, and encouraging atmosphere
- Teach proper progressions and safe skill development
- Celebrate individual improvement while promoting teamwork
Athlete Experience
- Learn athlete names and build relationships with families
- Communicate progress and celebrate milestones
- Encourage confidence, effort, sportsmanship, and resilience
- Maintain excellent class attendance and retention
Safety
- Maintain constant athlete supervision
- Follow all spotting and safety protocols
- Keep equipment organized and facility presentation-ready
- Report maintenance or safety concerns immediately
Team Culture
- Arrive prepared and on time
- Support fellow coaches and leadership
- Participate in staff meetings and continuing education
- Represent FUTURE’s culture with professionalism and positivity
