Dental Assistant
Location: Queens, NY
Pay Rate: $33.00/hour

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team in Queens, NY. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and committed to providing high-quality support to dental professionals while ensuring a positive patient experience.
Position Summary
The Dental Assistant will assist in providing comprehensive dental services by preparing patients for examinations and treatments, assisting the dentist during procedures, maintaining equipment and instruments, taking dental radiographs, and performing a variety of clinical and administrative duties to support efficient office operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental examinations and procedures.
- Assist the dentist during chairside procedures.
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments using an autoclave.
- Prepare and organize treatment rooms before and after patient visits.
- Mix dental materials, including amalgams, cements, and composites.
- Take, develop, and mount dental radiographs (X-rays).
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Perform assigned laboratory procedures.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards.
- Maintain dental equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Deliver professional, compassionate patient care while maintaining confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and meet one of the following qualifications:
- Completion of at least 600 instructional hours at an approved Dental Assistant training program; OR
- Completion of at least 300 instructional hours at an approved Dental Assistant training program plus six (6) months of full-time Dental Assistant experience performing all of the following:
- Taking, developing, and mounting dental radiographs
- Assisting the dentist chairside
- Sterilizing dental instruments using an autoclave; OR
- One (1) year of full-time satisfactory experience as a Dental Assistant performing the duties listed above; OR An equivalent combination of education and qualifying Dental Assistant experience.
