ESC has an exciting opportunity for an Electrician- NIGHTS to support a leading manufacturing operation in Menomonie, WI. This full-time opportunity is ideal for an experienced electrician who enjoys troubleshooting industrial electrical systems, working with PLCs and automation equipment, and supporting high-speed manufacturing operations. Schedule is 12-hour shifts on a 2 - 2 - 3 schedule (6pm to 6am, after 6 months of training on days).
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems to ensure safe and reliable operation of manufacturing equipment
- Investigate and resolve electrical, mechanical, and operational issues using advanced troubleshooting techniques
- Install and wire motors, switch panels, fuse boxes, motor control centers (MCCs), and power circuits
- Create, update, and maintain layouts of electrical circuits and system components
- Program, troubleshoot, and maintain Allen Bradley PLC hardware and software
- Work with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), AC and DC circuits, 4-20 mA instrumentation circuits, and 440 MCCs
- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and improve overall equipment reliability
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation
- Follow established safety procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility
Must Have Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent with trade school certification
- 3+ years of experience as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical documentation
- Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley PLC hardware and software
- Experience working with AC and DC circuits, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), 4-20 mA circuits, and 440 MCCs
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
Nice to Have Qualifications:
- Experience writing PLC code
- Experience with Logix 5, RSLogix 500, and Studio 5000
- Experience supporting high-speed manufacturing or production equipment
- Experience with industrial automation and control systems
