Position Overview
As a Security Guard, you will help maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, customers, and property. Officers are expected to maintain a visible presence, respond appropriately to incidents, and provide exceptional customer service while upholding site policies and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas and maintain a professional security presence
- Monitor facilities for safety hazards, suspicious activity, and security concerns
- Control access and verify authorized entry when required
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and alarm activations
- Prepare accurate incident reports and daily activity logs
- Provide outstanding customer service to visitors and employees
- Follow all post orders and site-specific procedures
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and emergency responders
Work Environment
- Indoor and outdoor work environments
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Day, swing, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts may be available
- Overtime opportunities may be available based on business needs
Qualifications
- Must be over 18 years or older
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Security or Customer Service Experience
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Comfortable standing, walking, climbing stairs and working on their feet for extended periods
- Ability to pass:
- Comprehensive Background Check
- Urine Drug Test at a clinic (includes THC because it’s a federal contract)
- Physical Test (TB Test, Hep B, MMR, Varicella)
