Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Staff member to join our dynamic facilities team. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and mechanical equipment.
- Repair and troubleshoot electrical equipment using schematics, ohmmeters, and other hand tools to diagnose issues accurately.
- Conduct HVAC system repairs, including filter replacements, duct cleaning, and system troubleshooting to ensure optimal climate control.
- Carry out plumbing maintenance and repairs such as fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and maintaining plumbing systems.
- Execute carpentry tasks including maintenance painting, drywall repairs, door adjustments, and other interior building repairs.
- Maintain facilities equipment by performing electrical work, mechanical repairs, or replacing worn parts efficiently.
- Follow schematics and technical manuals to complete maintenance tasks accurately while adhering to safety standards.
- Support building interior maintenance projects that enhance the overall appearance and functionality of the facility.
- Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during major repair or renovation projects when required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles with a solid understanding of electrical work, plumbing, HVAC systems, and mechanical repairs.
- Proficiency with hand tools, electrical equipment repair tools such as ohmmeters, schematics reading skills, and maintenance painting techniques.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC system repair, welding techniques, carpentry, and building interior maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience with electrical equipment repair and facilities equipment maintenance.
- Ability to read technical schematics and diagrams accurately; experience with schematics is highly valued.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces safely.
- Leadership qualities with the capacity to support team members or coordinate maintenance activities effectively.
