Duties
- Efficiently wash, scrub, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper cleaning techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all tools are organized and ready for use.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as bussing tables, organizing supplies, or handling basic food prep when needed. .
- Follow food handling safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to manage dish flow during busy service periods, ensuring timely turnaround of items.
- Contribute to overall cleanliness by sweeping floors, emptying trash bins, and maintaining a hygienic work environment.
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy trays or containers.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization.
- Excellent teamwork skills; able to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers.
- Experience with bussing or basic food preparation tasks is a plus; banquet or catering experience is highly desirable.
