What You’ll Do
- Provide patient-centered nursing care to diverse cardiac and medical stepdown patients
- Titrate cardiac and vasopressor medications, including insulin, and manage IV drips
- Monitor and manage patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, CVA, DKA, Sepsis, and post-surgical recovery
- Utilize EMR Meditech Expanse for charting; operate IV pumps and Pyxis medication systems
- Support team members with skills like managing central lines, chest tubes, wound care, and temporary pacemakers
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including CNAs, RTs, and hospitalists
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and safety standards
What You Need
Required:
- Valid Nursing License in Louisiana or Multi-State Compact
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- 2+ years of recent PCU RN experience in an acute care setting
- Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
- Strong IV and cardiac management skills
Preferred:
- LVAD certification (for 2 West)
