We are currently seeking skilled and motivated Class A CDL Drivers to join our line haul team based in Woodside, NY.
Position Overview:
As a Line Haul CDL Class A Driver, you will be responsible for transporting freight between FedEx terminals within the tri-state area. This is a local driving position- drivers return home daily. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working overnight shifts of 8–10 hours.
Compensation:
Earn $25-$27 an hour, at least 40 hours per week with potential for overtime pay.
Final pay rate will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a Class A commercial vehicle along assigned local routes.
- Efficiently manage routes and complete all pickups and deliveries within the expected timeframe.
- Accurately maintain daily driving logs and submit mileage reports at the end of each shift.
- Perform thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues.
- Use electronic logging devices (ELDs) and company-provided technology to ensure compliance and communication.
- Maintain DOT and company regulatory compliance at all times.
- Conserve resources such as fuel and time through strategic route management.
- Serve as a professional representative of CunEx Inc., upholding our standards in all interactions.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience required..
- Familiarity with ELDs and DOT regulations.
- Strong work ethic and attention to safety.
- Ability to work night shifts consistently (8–10 hours per night).
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
