Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople by carrying materials, tools, and equipment to designated areas on the construction site
- Prepare work sites by cleaning debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing supplies to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including wearing protective gear and adhering to OSHA standards
- Help with the installation of basic building components such as framing, drywall, or flooring under supervision
- Operate basic hand tools and machinery safely and correctly as directed
- Support site cleanup efforts at the end of each workday to maintain a tidy and hazard-free environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively with crew members
- Prior experience in construction or manual labor is required
- Basic understanding of safety procedures on construction sites is preferred but not mandatory
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites is essential
