Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable CDL Driver to operate roll-off trucks on local routes primarily within the Martin County area, with occasional trips between Port St. Lucie and Jupiter. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of our logistics team, ensuring timely and safe delivery of materials while maintaining excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and a proactive attitude to handle various truck types and loading operations efficiently.
Duties
- Safely operate roll-off trucks, with knowledge of loading equipment.
- Load and unload materials using manual or mechanical methods.
- Transport construction debris, waste, or materials between designated locations while adhering to all safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
- Assist with maintenance checks and minor repairs on trucks to keep equipment in optimal condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or vehicle issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups. Communicate with owner and mechanic in regards to vehicle upkeep and needed repairs.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for dump trucks and roll-off trucks.
- Proven experience operating roll-off trucks
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs on vehicles.
- Experience in load & unload operations using manual methods or mechanical equipment.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading tasks.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles preferred but not required.
- Strong driving record demonstrating safe driving practices over time.

- Willing to perform duties such as assisting with silt fence installation, picking up a shovel if need be, possibly driving a dump truck as well.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
