Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older with two or more years of experience relevant/similar to the listed job functions or completion of a relevant technical training program or job certificate.
Responsibilities - What you’ll do
This is a mid-level employee responsible for performing a variety of semi-skilled maintenance work in the alteration, maintenance, and repair of state facilities. Employees work in a variety of trade areas such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, concrete and masonry, painting, plastering, and mechanical repair. Employee may also oversee offender workers engaged in maintenance tasks and receives supervision from a designated supervisor.
Employee performs routine maintenance:
- Painting building surfaces and equipment
- Patch plastering walls
- Carpentry work on such items as furniture, doors, windows, shelves, and floors
- Plumbing work such as unstopping toilets and drains Replacing faucets/valves/washers
- Repairing water line leaks
- Replacing light bulbs/outlets/switches
- Limited repairs of electrical motors/generators/communication equipment.
Employee should be knowledgeable in a variety of trade areas including:
- Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, and mechanical repair.
The employee must have the skill and ability to operate tractors, mowers, skid steer, and other grounds related equipment, the ability to provide and follow directions, the ability to interpret and apply technical manual, the ability to obtain required licenses and or certification, and the ability to work in varying weather conditions and traverse over rugged terrain.
Pay: $48,675.60 per year
