Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Estimating professional to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for a variety of construction projects, ensuring profitability and competitiveness. Responsibilities
- Review and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and blueprints to accurately estimate material requirements and labor costs.
- Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Xactimate to develop detailed project budgets and cost forecasts.
- Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam and other digital tools to determine project scope and pricing strategies.
- Manage project estimates from initial concept through final bid submission, ensuring all costs are accounted for and aligned with project goals.
- Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
- Monitor ongoing project costs, implement cost control measures, and adjust estimates as needed to stay within budget parameters.
- Collaborate with project management teams to review construction contracts, manage risk factors, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing projects as a construction estimator with a strong understanding of construction estimating processes.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, Xactimate, and other estimating or project management software tools.
- Solid knowledge of construction drawing review, interpreting technical drawings, and estimating material requirements from blueprints.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, cost management, and cost control within the construction industry.
- Extensive construction site experience combined with a comprehensive understanding of construction management practices.
- Familiarity with contracts, project budgeting, pricing strategies, and managing multiple estimates simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, vendors, and clients.

Pay: $35,544.00 - $36,554.00 per year
