Project Manager / Field Crew Supervisor — Johnston's Surveying (Kissimmee, FL)
You will be measured on: field crew utilization, project budget variance, on-time completion rate, field-data accuracy, and rework rate.
What You'll Do
- Own field operations across active survey projects — scheduling crews, sequencing work, and keeping projects on budget and on schedule.
- Direct and supervise field crews (party chiefs and instrument operators); set daily priorities and enforce field QA before data leaves the site.
- Manage GPS/GNSS, total stations, and data collectors — calibration, accountability, and uptime.
- Coordinate directly with clients, the office, and CAD on scope, deliverables, and field conditions.
- Enforce safety and Florida survey field standards on every job.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years in land surveying field work, including time as a party chief.
- Proven crew supervision and the ability to run multiple projects at once.
- Fluency with modern survey equipment and data-collection workflows.
- Florida boundary/topo/construction-layout field experience.
Structure & Compensation
- On-site, full-time, at-will. Reports to the President. Direct reports: field crews.
- Starting at $33/hour+ performance-based merit and profit-sharing.
