Duties

- Lead daily classroom activities for preschool or toddler-aged children, ensuring a nurturing environment that promotes curiosity and independence.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques, fostering respectful interactions among children and staff.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding child progress, milestones, and any concerns to build strong partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child development progress and incident reports.
- Oversee classroom safety protocols, including first aid and CPR procedures, to ensure a secure environment for all children.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, classroom management strategies, and inclusive practices such as special education and early intervention programs.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings such as daycare centers, preschools, or private schools.
- Demonstrated expertise in child development instruction, classroom management, and lesson planning tailored for young learners.
- Knowledge of childhood development milestones, standardized testing methods for early education assessment, and early intervention strategies.
- Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children in core subjects like math or literacy education.
- Familiarity with special education needs, behavior management techniques, and working with diverse student populations including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; experience adhering to mandated reporting laws is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff members, and community partners.
