Job Title: Golf Cart Mechanic

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Golf Cart Mechanic to support the day-to-day operations of our golf cart rental business. This dynamic role involves maintaining and repairing our fleet of golf carts, ensuring carts are clean and ready for use, delivering carts to guests, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a blend of mechanical skills, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Golf Cart Maintenance and Repairs
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on gas-powered golf carts, including engine checks, brake adjustments, tire replacements, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Conduct safety inspections to ensure carts are in top working condition before and after each rental.
- Keep detailed maintenance logs for all work performed, adhering to company protocols.
Cart Preparation and Cleaning
- Perform daily washing and cleaning of golf carts to ensure they are spotless, fresh, and guest-ready. Cart cleanliness is a key driver of guest satisfaction, and maintaining high visual and hygiene standards reflects directly on the guest experience.
- The team is responsible for washing and refreshing upwards of 20 carts per day, ensuring a consistent and professional appearance across the fleet.
- Inspect each cart as part of the cleaning process to identify and report any damage or issues that could impact performance or safety.
- Fuel carts and check fluid levels, tire pressure, and battery health as part of pre-delivery checks.
- Maintain a clean and organized staging area to streamline delivery and ensure carts are always presented in top condition.
- Wash, clean, and inspect carts to ensure they are spotless and fully operational for guests.

Cart Delivery and Guest Interaction
- Deliver carts to guest locations promptly, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
- Provide guests with instructions on operating the golf carts safely and answer any questions about the rental process.
- Address any guest concerns or minor technical issues during deliveries or rentals.
Operational Support
- Assist with inventory management, including tracking carts in service, maintenance schedules, and supplies.
- Coordinate with the Operations Manager and front desk staff to ensure timely cart availability for reservations.
- Help with shop organization and maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
Qualifications:
Experience and Skills
- Previous experience in small engine repair or golf cart maintenance of 3+ years is preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Comfortable driving trailers or trucks.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and record-keeping.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks that require bending, standing, or working in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily outdoor work with some time spent in a maintenance shop.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, some on-call, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
