Responsibilities

- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and food processors.
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting nutritious and appealing meal options that meet dietary restrictions.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by following proper sanitation procedures and cleaning schedules.
- Handle food safely by adhering to food safety management standards, including proper storage, handling, and temperature controls.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service delivery.
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a dietary department or food service environment is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a professional setting.
- Knowledge of safety standards in food production and experience operating various kitchen equipment.
- Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal assembly for diverse dietary needs.
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with kitchen staff and other team members.
- Experience in the food industry or restaurant environment that highlights culinary skills such as knife techniques and slicing methods.
- Catering experience or involvement in large-scale meal preparation projects is a plus.
