At AJ's, our line cooks are the most important members of our staff! We have been on campus for over 17 years delivering Chicago style food favorites as well as burgers, chicken tenders and our delicious loaded fries. As of 2019 we have expanded our dining experience to include table service and offering over 20 different beers.
Line cooks prepare food as the orders come in, as we are not a fast food restaurant. Speed and accuracy are important, but at the end of the day, making sure the customer is satisfied is our #1 goal.
At AJ's, we love to cross train our staff to be able to handle any position, within reason. This will help insure that we can schedule you the hours which you want to work and at positions you feel comfortable with. This team environment has been a reason for our success over the last 17 years.
Experience is not required and we will train just about anyone!
Responsibilities and Job Duties
Line Cooks main job responsibilities are:
- Speed and accuracy with the preparation of orders
- Prep work during the slow times
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary working environment
- End of shift responsibilities, such as additional cleaning or restocking of the line.
