What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a government corrections environment.

Respond to incidents, inmate movement concerns, visitor issues, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established post orders and reporting protocols.

Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, housing areas, checkpoints, grounds, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.

Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorization for staff and visitors, and document observations, incidents, and/or policy violations in accordance with site requirements.

Support daily operations by communicating with facility personnel, assisting with access control, and following directives for counts, escorts, and/or movement coordination as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.

Be at least 21 years of age.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
