Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Ensure all food safety protocols are followed during meal preparation and service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
- Uphold the highest standards of quality in food presentation and taste.
- Support the dietary department by accommodating special dietary needs when required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or fine dining establishment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- A culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus but not required.
