As a Senior Truss Designer, your duties are to design truss systems for commercial multifamily and residential buildings. Under the supervision of the Design Manager, you will create truss placement plans, truss design drawings, truss estimates, and provide technical support to customers and sales representatives.
Must have ITW Alpine Truss Software experience. Additional experience with PlanSwift preferred. CAD and or REVIT alone DO NOT meet qualifications.
A Senior Wood Truss Designer will:
- Read architectural and structural blueprints to determine design specifications.
- Work efficiently in order to meet daily and weekly goals and deadlines.
- Work with technical support and more experienced designers to further your knowledge as a truss estimator / designer.
- Work closely with customers, sales team members, architects, and engineers to ensure proposals are completed correctly.
- Design roof and floor trusses in ITW Alpine truss design software (required)
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office and be able to learn new software.
- Have great communication skills, including fast, professional responses to the questions and needs of our sales team and customers.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
- Be self-motivated and meet deadlines.
- Be able to multitask and handle multiple projects at once.
- Work mobile and adhere to the mandatory hours set by management.
Requirements:
- Strong work ethic.
- Work and be available 8-5 CST Monday through Friday.
- Must have great communication skills.
- Must meet deadlines.
- 8 years minimum in truss design using ITW Alpine Truss Design software.
- Must be efficient and complete tasks on time.
- Must have the desire to be innovative and provide solutions to all types of issues that may come up.
- Be honest, respectful, and have integrity.
- Have a good working relationship with coworkers.
