Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a seamless dining experience
- Present menus confidently, highlighting specials and upselling premium items to enhance guest satisfaction and restaurant revenue
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS, ensuring timely delivery.
- Serve food and drinks professionally while maintaining cleanliness and organization at all times
- Provide expert knowledge on menu items, ingredients, and food safety standards to answer guest questions thoroughly
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through excellent time management skills, ensuring prompt service without sacrificing quality
- Handle guest concerns promptly and courteously, striving to exceed expectations and foster positive relationships
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting stations, and maintaining sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations
- Support the host/hostess team in managing reservations via OpenTable or similar platforms to optimize seating flow
Requirements
- Proven experience in fine dining service or upscale restaurant environments with a focus on guest relations
- Strong knowledge of Toast POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Demonstrated ability in upselling techniques to increase sales while enhancing guest satisfaction
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor that creates a welcoming atmosphere
- Ability to handle food safely and maintain sanitation standards according to food industry regulations
- Previous experience in food handling, serving, bussing, or host/hostess roles within the hospitality sector
- Basic math skills for cash handling and cashiering responsibilities; familiarity with POS transactions required
- Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous for understanding food preparation and menu details
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
