Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Summary: Queens-based non-profit social services agency serving individuals with developmental disabilities of all ages in Queens, for more than 25 years is seeking Registered Nurse (RN). As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for providing patient care, promoting and maintaining the health and wellbeing of patients in a long-term care setting. You will work closely with IRA Manager, Shift Supervisor and monitor and evaluate patient progress, and provide education to patients and their families.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and monitor patient progress.
- Administer medications, perform diagnostic tests and procedures, and provide treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs, detect and report changes in patient condition, and respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Educate patients and their families about health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Document patient care and progress accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with advancements in nursing practice and healthcare technology.
Qualifications:
- Active NYS RN license
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Covid-19 Vaccine Card
- Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Salary will be based on qualifications and experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
