We are hiring a Dispatch / Operations Coordinator to help with the day-to-day operations here at Liberty. We are looking for a competent Logistics Coordinator to oversee and facilitate the supply chain operations of our company. You will be the one to coordinate personnel and processes to achieve the effective distribution of goods. A great asset for a Logistics Coordinator is their communication and negotiation skills. They are well-versed in supply management principles and practices. The ideal candidate will have great record-keeping abilities and a customer-oriented approach. The goal is to ensure the smooth operations of a variety of channels aiming for maximum efficiency.
EXPECTATIONS
· Build relationships with your drivers and execute daily dispatch operations as necessary
· Utilize load boards and our TMS to efficiently maximize revenue for all parties
· Discuss and negotiate rates and terms effectively with clients and brokers
· Communicate with your drivers and help them solve problems that arise
· Prepare broker packets in a timely manner, upload documents into TMS, file accordingly
· Move our client’s freight safely and quick enough for 100% on-time delivery
· Set pickup and delivery appointments
· Answer after-hours phone calls and emails
· Create a driver team that our customers can count on to deliver their freight safely and efficiently
· Perform road tests and other various portions of new driver orientation
HISTORY
Our family has been in logistics for 68 years, if it's related to dry-vans and non-hazmat freight we've moved it. Our old company, EFS, sold in 2012 to Mercer in Louisville, KY. We founded Liberty Land Carriers in 2013 with 1 truck and 1 account. Today we operate 50 trucks and work with several Fortune 1000 customers. We are growing.
We separate ourselves from the herd not only on the road with our drivers' professionalism, but also in the office with a customer service experience second to none. We might be a smaller company but we pack a big punch. Our largest client is La-Z-Boy, Liberty is currently listed as the #1 asset carrier outside of their own fleet for La-Z-Boy Manufacturing based out of their Dayton, TN plant. We were able to successfully deliver enough of their freight this past year to achieve a 'Top 3' domestic carrier ranking.
In 2013 Liberty grossed $1.3 million in sales. We are on target to close out this year at $25 million. We are working on controlled growth with a heavy focus on safety as trucking has become one of the most regulated industries in the country.
Our contractors range from age 23 - 81. We work with many walks of life and we need people in here with good attitudes, a thirst for new developments and are able to multi-task at the drop of a hat as our business can move very quickly sometimes.
Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
