Duties
- Guide customers through the financing process, explaining loan options, terms, and conditions clearly and confidently
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to foster trust and loyalty, upselling additional products or services when appropriate
- Analyze credit reports and financial information to determine loan eligibility and appropriate terms in compliance regulations
- Process loan applications efficiently using financial software, ensuring accuracy in documentation such as contracts, title processing, and loan processing forms
- Negotiate terms with lenders and customers to secure favorable deals that meet both parties’ needs while adhering to dealership policies
- Conduct credit analysis to assess risk levels and recommend suitable financing options for each customer
- Collaborate with sales teams to enhance overall dealership performance through effective finance strategies and customer engagement
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Loan Officer or Automotive Finance Manager within a dealership environment or financial services setting
- Strong knowledge of automotive sales processes, including title processing, contract preparation, and loan documentation
- Excellent customer relationship management skills with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service
- Proficiency in financial software applications and basic math skills for accurate calculations and data entry
- Familiarity with regulations, credit analysis procedures, and deal structuring techniques
- Effective negotiation skills to close deals that benefit both the customer and the dealership
- Experience with upselling additional products such as extended warranties or insurance policies is a plus
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail during loan processing and contract signing
