Building & Facility Maintenance
- Perform routine inspections of church buildings and grounds.
- Complete minor repairs to doors, windows, walls, floors, ceilings, and fixtures.
- Repair or replace locks, handles, and hardware as needed.
- Paint and touch up interior and exterior surfaces.
- Monitor the condition of the roof, gutters, sidewalks, and parking lot.
Grounds Maintenance (this can be negotiated with salary)
- Mow grass.
- Trim shrubs and low hanging tree limbs.
- Maintain weeds and debris.
- Remove lawn debris from sidewalks and parking areas.
HVAC, Electrical & Plumbing
- Monitor air conditioning systems.
- Replace air filters on schedule.
- Change light bulbs and inspect lighting fixtures as needed.
- Address minor plumbing issues such as leaks or clogged drains.
- Coordinate with licensed contractors for major repairs.
Safety & Security
- Unlock and lock church buildings for services and events.
- Perform routine safety inspections.
- Ensure emergency exits remain accessible.
- Report safety hazards immediately.
- Assist in maintaining security systems
Equipment Maintenance
- Maintain custodial equipment and tools.
- Perform preventative maintenance on church-owned equipment.
- Keep maintenance supplies organized.
- Monitor inventory and notify leadership when supplies need replenishing.
Contractor Coordination
- Meet with vendors and contractors.
- Assist in scheduling maintenance and repair work.
- Verify completed work meets church standards.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain maintenance logs and inspection records.
- Report repair needs to church leadership.
- Assist with annual maintenance planning.
- Help monitor maintenance budgets by tracking usage.
General Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests.
- Be available for occasional evenings, weekends, or emergencies.
- Follow all church safety policies and procedures.
- Operate tools and equipment safely.
- Represent the church professionally while interacting with members, guests, and contractors.
- Perform other duties as assigned by church leadership.
Pay: $31,200.00 - $40,000.00 per year
