A boutique law firm needs a responsible probate and guardianship paralegal (at least 2 years of experience). Your main responsibility is to draft court pleadings, including probate and all other documents associated with seeking independent and dependent administrations of estates with and without wills and temporary and permanent guardianship applications for person and estate.
Some cases involve representing trust and will beneficiaries, trustees, heirs, and creditors both in disputes and in general. Experience with these documents and processes is required as well.
Additional job responsibilities include completing engagement agreements and drafting letters, creating business records affidavits and obtaining and organizing records, requesting service and publication, scheduling, using the Texas Secretary of State online filing system, and Efiling with Texas courts.
Candidates with Spanish language skills are strongly preferred! Prior experience with legal work involving real property is an advantage.
