Sunday Nursery Worker

Petal First Methodist Church is seeking a dependable and caring Sunday Nursery Worker to provide childcare during our weekly worship service.
Schedule: Sundays, approximately 10:00 AM-11:30 AM
Worship Service: 10:30 AM–11:30 AM
Pay: $40 per Sunday
The Nursery Worker should plan to arrive around 10:00 AM to prepare the nursery and be ready to receive children before worship begins.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, welcoming, and caring environment for infants and young children during Sunday worship.
- Supervise and engage children with age-appropriate play and activities.
- Assist with basic childcare needs as necessary.
- Help maintain a clean and organized nursery space.
- Follow all church child-safety policies and procedures.
- Work alongside church volunteers who may assist in the nursery on Sundays.
Qualifications
- Dependable and able to commit consistently to Sunday mornings.
- Comfortable caring for infants and young children.
- Patient, responsible, attentive, and welcoming to families.
- Previous childcare experience is preferred.
- Must be willing to complete a background check and follow church child-protection policies.
