Sr. Business Applications Developer
We're partnering with a growing organization looking for a Senior Business Applications Developer to lead the evolution of its enterprise data environment. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys building modern data platforms, creating impactful business intelligence solutions, and leveraging Microsoft's newest AI technologies to transform how an organization makes decisions.
If you're passionate about Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure, SQL, and Copilot Studio, this role offers the chance to own projects from architecture through deployment while influencing the company's long-term data strategy.
What You'll Do
As the organization's technical expert for business applications and analytics, you'll:
- Design and deploy enterprise-level Power BI semantic models, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
- Build scalable Microsoft Fabric Lakehouses and Data Warehouses.
- Develop robust ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark, SQL, and Fabric Notebooks.
- Optimize enterprise datasets through Query Folding, Incremental Refresh, Direct Lake mode, and Delta table optimization.
- Connect and integrate data from SQL Servers, Microsoft Dataverse, Azure services, REST APIs, and third-party cloud platforms.
- Establish best practices around Git version control, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment governance.
- Manage Power BI tenant administration, licensing, workspace governance, Row-Level Security (RLS), and On-Premises Data Gateways.
- Build and deploy Microsoft Copilot solutions and AI agents using Copilot Studio to automate reporting, data discovery, and business processes.
- Monitor Fabric capacity and Azure consumption to maximize performance and control costs.
- Partner closely with business leaders to translate operational needs into scalable technical solutions.
What We're Looking For

- 7+ years of experience developing enterprise Power BI solutions.
- Strong expertise with:

- Experience designing Lakehouse architectures, Fabric Data Warehouses, and modern cloud data platforms.

- Strong understanding of data modeling, governance, security, and enterprise reporting best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to business stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead projects independently while collaborating across technical and functional teams.
- Must be able to work onsite five days per week.
Why This Opportunity?
- Lead enterprise-wide data modernization initiatives.
- Work with cutting-edge Microsoft technologies including Fabric and Copilot AI.
- High visibility with executive leadership.
- Opportunity to architect solutions rather than simply maintain them.
